this is tonight!!!! ....National Night Out also will return to Streator's City Park after a one-year hiatus from 6 to 9 p.m. at the southeast portion of City Park. The Neighborhood Watch, which is sponsoring the event, will serve free hot dogs, sloppy Joes, chips and water donated by US Food Service, Vactor Manufacturing and Kroger. The Coachmen will perform on stage behind the World War II memorial. An inflatable bounce house, a balloon artist and clown, zumba and Mark the Magician are just some of the activities available. Door prizes will be awarded every half hour starting at 6:30 p.m. Representatives from the Streator Police Department with Fips the drug-detecting dog, Streator Fire, Reading Township Volunteer Fire, Advanced Medical Transport, 911 dispatch and Streator City Council will be there to educate the public and answer any questions. "We've received tremendous support from the community," said Toni Pettit of Neighborhood Watch. "We want this to be the biggest and best yet. It's an opportunity to interact with law and emergency people in a fun setting." Fifteen businesses and organizations will host booths with activities.
